Late Woodland site situated on a terrace in the Susquehanna River valley, Union Township, Broome County, New York. Excavations were directed by W.A. Ritchie in 1964 and by W. Lipe in 1965-1966 which exposed hundreds of post molds, 226 pit features, and the outlines of two longhouses over an area of 901 sq m. A charcoal radiocarbon date (Y-1534) and the presence of predominantly Early Owasco pottery suggested that these were among the best documented early longhouses in New York state (Stuiver 1969). New Zea mays radiocarbon dates obtained by Hart (2000) show that younger occupations also played an important role in the formation of this site.
